Sharp Top, Peaks of Otter

She was eating and not worrying about
anything else in the world.

This one, she was actually at the top of Sharp
Top, again not worrying about anyone at all.

The view from Sharp Top! Breath-taking...

A bee just chillin' on a rock.

My beautiful son at the top of Sharp Top with me.

A ladybug we saw on the way to the summit.

My son staring at Abbott Lake.

The house that was near Abbott Lake. Beautiful

We spent the day on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is so nice to get away from all the hustle of everyday life and to get in touch with nature. My grandmother, my mother, myself and my son went to the Peaks of Otter to have a picnic and then took the scenic drive to the base of Sharp Top Mountain. We then took the bus up until we had about 1500 feet to travel to the top and hiked the rest. It was a gorgeous day and we got to see quite a few animals along the way. Hope you enjoy!

Playing in my back yard. Cardinals are so bright and beautiful! It was also funny how the squirrel was looking at me while hanging on to the tree.

Beautiful sunset at my house a couple months back. This was too breath-taking to not capture! The colors are so deep...
The neighbors cat drinking from the rain barrel. I am proud of this picture because there is no blur on the tongue and the ripples in the water turned out perfect...

This is my 7 year old son. He is a soccer player and very good at it. This is my first attempt at taking pictures. I offered to take team and individual pictures. All the parents seem to be very pleased with my work so all is good. I used my Canon EOS Rebel Xsi. I have also just recently received a program for editing and a new lense to play with. Hope you all enjoy!

Hello, I am new to this. A friend of mine suggested blogging here due to this is where she blogs. I am hoping to become a photographer one day, among many other professions I am going to school for. I could be a "Jack of all trades" by the time I am done going to school. Please bare with me while I attempt to put photos up and get my page looking decent.
